Moments - Show us Your Stuff

I couldn't wait to do something with this awesome sketch for the September Show Us Your Stuff challenge. The criteria is to use a handmade item and some mixed media.

For my mixed media background, I saw a Heidi Swapp video using gel texture medium, letting it dry and then putting it through the Minc, with foil on top. I used Golden Regular Gloss Gel and it worked perfectly!! I was so excited!! I also used a green mist, swishes of Liquid Metals, stamping (words) and washi tape.
My handmade item is a beautiful Charm's Creations heart with Butterfly.

I got... For Scrap the Boys

The challenge theme for Scrap the Boys this month is "Not Happy!"
This photo my daughter-in-law sent the other day was perfect for this theme!! Someone's sister was having a little nappy free time! She sneezed! And pooped over him! His face says it all!!

Take me to the Beach - STB

My layout for the July challenge at Scrap the Boys! Dad took me the fishing off the wharf, but the fish weren't biting so we went exploring around the rocks.

Great topic, thanks!

Rural view for June at ARTastic

The June challenge is up at ARTastic and has a rural theme!
I was inspired by the sun filtering through the mist in this amazing painting by Eliot Gruner, 'Spring Frost Study'.
I have rural views from my deck and took the photo on an early autumn morning.

My rural view -later in the day:

I hope you will head over to ARTastic and join the challenge.

Togetherness for D-Lish Scraps

Managed to get another layout done over this wet and wild weekend. Certainly no fun to be outdoors!
This is for the gorgeous, 'sweet and sassy', Inspiration board challenge at D-Lish Scraps. I was inspired by the sketch, colours, rosettes, butterflies, heart, gold string... just loved it all!!

And the board:
